APconnections Enhances NetEqualizer with Directory Integration Capability

LAFAYETTE, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–APconnections, an innovation-driven technology company that delivers best-in-class network traffic management solutions, is excited to announce NetEqualizer Directory Integration (NDI), as part of our 7.0 Release for the NetEqualizer product line.

NetEqualizer Directory Integration provides enhanced reporting for our customers. Our customers can identify the actual users consuming their valuable network bandwidth, so that they can react accordingly. I envision username identification to be incorporated into many areas in the future.
Art Reisman
NetEqualizer Co-Founder and CTO

NetEqualizer Directory Integration marks the advent of username reporting within the NetEqualizer. With the capabilities offered by NDI, customers can now report on network activity in even more meaningful ways, tracking usage based on known usernames. In the 7.0 Release, we have added username to real-time activity data and quota usage. Our Internet Provider customers will be excited to learn that we have extended this capability to Named Quotas, capturing username on network bandwidth usage over defined time periods. For more details on the 7.0 Release, see our Software Updates.

The NetEqualizer is affordably priced and is available in license levels from 20Mbps ($3,400) to 5Gbps ($13,100) on networks up to 40,000 users. See our NetEqualizer Price List for complete details. One year renewable NetEqualizer Software & Support (NSS) and NetEqualizer Hardware Warranties (NHW) are offered.

NetEqualizer bandwidth shapers utilize our unique behavior-based “equalizing” technology, which implement fairness algorithms to automatically provide bandwidth shaping and traffic control to your network. Immediately you will see higher QoS and optimal network performance, all while reducing maintenance and customer complaints. Equalizing gives priority to latency-sensitive applications, such as VoIP, web browsing, chat and e-mail over large file downloads and video that can clog your Internet pipe.

APconnections Celebrates New NetEqualizer Lite with Introductory Pricing

Editor’s Note:  This is a copy of a press release that went out on May 15th, 2012.  Enjoy!

Lafayette, Colorado – May 15, 2012 – APconnections, an innovation-driven technology company that delivers best-in-class network traffic management solutions, is celebrating the expansion of its NetEqualizer Lite product line by offering special pricing for a limited time.

NetEqualizer’s VP of Sales and Business Development, Joe D’Esopo is excited to announce “To make it easy for you to try the new NetEqualizer Lite, for a limited time we are offering the NetEqualizer Lite-10 at introductory pricing of just $999 for the unit, our Lite-20 at $1,100, and our Lite-50 at $1,400.  These are incredible deals for the value you will receive; we believe unmatched today in our industry.”

We have upgraded our base technology for the NetEqualizer Lite, our entry-level bandwidth-shaping appliance.  Our new Lite still retains a small form-factor, which sets it apart, and makes it ideal for implementation in the Field, but now has enhanced CPU and memory. This enables us to include robust graphical reporting like in our other product lines, and also to support additional bandwidth license levels.

The Lite is geared towards smaller networks with less than 350 users, is available in three license levels, and is field-upgradable across them: our Lite-10 runs on networks up to 10Mbps and up to 150 users ($999), our Lite-20 (20Mbps and 200 users for $1,100), and Lite-50 (50Mbps and 350 users for $1,400).  See our NetEqualizer Price List for complete details.  One year renewable NetEqualizer Software & Support (NSS) and NetEqualizer Hardware Warranties (NHW) are offered.

Like all of our bandwidth shapers, the NetEqualizer Lite is a plug-n-play, low maintenance solution that is quick and easy to set-up, typically taking one hour or less.  QoS is implemented via behavior-based bandwidth shaping, “equalizing”, giving priority to latency-sensitive applications, such as VoIP, web browsing, chat and e-mail over large file downloads and video that can clog your Internet pipe.

About APconnections:  APconnections is based in Lafayette, Colorado, USA.  We released our first commercial offering in July 2003, and since then thousands of customers all over the world have put our products into service.  Today, our flexible and scalable solutions can be found in over 4,000 installations in many types of public and private organizations of all sizes across the globe, including: Fortune 500 companies, major universities, K-12 schools, and Internet providers on six (6) continents.  To learn more, contact us at sales@apconnections.net.

NetEqualizer expects to gain market share in recession

Lafayette Colorado

APconnections released a statement today saying that they expect to gain market share in the highly competitive bandwidth control and WAN optimization market should there be another downturn in the world economy.

“We obviously don’t wish a recession on anybody.   The main reason for our success in a tight market is our low price.  In good times some customers are hesitant to contact us  because they believe that our lower pricing model just can’t be true without a gimmick. When a recession comes along, businesses are still faced with the problem of a congested Internet link with less operating dollars available to spend.  Next thing we know is that our phone starts ringing with inquiries, followed by new customers opting to trial the NetEqualizer.”  The cautious inquirer soon turns into an NetEqualizer advocate, as per the comment below.

Peter Spencer Deskspace.biz

In the UK there is an advertising slogan for paint that says:  ”It does exactly what it says on the tin”. Well the NetEqualizer does exactly what they claim on their website: we took it out of the box, plugged it in to our network, and 10 minutes later, all our bandwidth problems disappeared. No more dropped VoIP calls, and no more complaints about slow internet access or stuck emails. We did get a couple of unhappy users – but those were the folks who were downloading movies on peer-to-peer or running unauthorised web-servers on our network – and they had caused all the trouble for everyone! NetEqualizer was automatically throttling back their bandwidth usage. Easy. We have 100 tenants in our serviced office, and the internet just HAS to work 24/7 – NetEqualizer has made them, and us, happy!

APconnections’ NetEqualizer Reaches Three Million Users and Growing

LAFAYETTE, Colo., November 16, 2009 — APconnections, a leading supplier of plug-and-play bandwidth shaping products, today announced that over three million Internet users have been served by companies implementing its NetEqualizer technology.

The NetEqualizer is a plug-and-play bandwidth control and WAN/Internet optimization appliance that is flexible and scalable. When the network is congested, NetEqualizer’s unique “behavior shaping” technology gives priority to latency sensitive applications, such as VoIP and email. It does it all dynamically and automatically, improving on other bandwidth shaping technology out there. It controls network flow for the best WAN optimization.

Since being introduced in 2003, the NetEqualizer has been successfully installed in businesses, libraries, universities, ISPs, and office parks around the world. Administrators have found the technology to be extremely effective in networks both large and small.

“We switched to a NetEqualizer in 2006 after previously using a high-end solution and have been very pleased with the results ever since. It’s been exactly what we were looking for and has worked just as advertised,” said Derrick D’Gama, director of Information Services at Lewis University. “We provide Internet service to over 5,000 students and have now effectively minimized any bandwidth issues. To have such a low-maintenance product work so well has made my job that much easier.”

In order to match its proven track record, the NetEqualizer is constantly evolving to meet the developing demands of the technology industry. Over the past two months, NetEqualizer has released software capable of name-based shaping and shaping over VLAN. The NetEqualizer is also now able to serve as a CALEA probe, offering ISPs an affordable, yet effective, answer to recently introduced law enforcement regulations.

To better demonstrate the NetEqualizer’s capabilities, APconnecitons is now offering a free online live demo of the technology at its Web site, http://www.netequalizer.com.
